All in all life has been good for me as a woman. I have loved being my gender fully even though an uphill give and take comes part and parcel with the territory: I found motherhood but lost my marriage. I gained success whilst inheriting sleeplessness. I grew self confident though I put on weight. I discovered quietude thanks to hearing loss. I bought peace by sleeping alone. I grew patient when I moved slower. But my favorite give and take? I gathered strength when there were no battles left to be won.
